Declarations, Inc. Receives Grant From Investors Foundation!

Declarations Inc. recently received a $1,000.00 grant from Investors Foundation! The grant will help further Declarations’ mission of increasing their electronic health record’s technology by implementing the use of 10 Microsoft Tablets for field based electronic health record software utilization. These will also include HIPAA based Cyber Security, Laptop Encryption Programs, IT Project Consultation Services and server virtualization.

“Declarations, Inc. is appreciative of our ongoing partnership with Investors Bank. Especially during these challenging times, non-profits such as ours rely on the generosity of partners such as Investors Bank to grow our IT infrastructure allowing us to be more efficient in the delivery of our services to individuals with disabilities. “– James Marhold, President/CEO

With the utilization of these 10 Microsoft Surface Tablets, our Life Coaches and Clinicians can complete annual paperwork for our consumers in real time and can accommodate the need for fast documentation when in crisis. In the midst of a crisis, our new hardware and software will allow our staff to get documentation to the hospitals quicker, allowing for treatment and assessment to be completed in a time that is consistent with optimal crisis intervention. Medication emergencies are also very common in our service model. With our tablets, field staff can also get medications in the hands of the individuals we serve faster with participating pharmacies and other support entities in the community.

Due to the virtualization of our server, instances of server crashes by hackers and natural emergencies will become an issue that can be solved immediately. A perfect example of this is our current COVID-19 pandemic. Our systems will be back up and running almost instantly, allowing the smallest deviation in our ability to provide care.

The mission of everyone involved at Declarations is to provide educational and emotional support to people with disabilities by operating facilities and programs that are dedicated to their recovery, rehabilitation, and wellness. To advocate for the rights of self-reliance, personal dignity, and independence for all individuals with disabilities and to advance the understanding that even those with the most severe disability can lead a productive and joyful life.
